President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the killing of the senatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Enugu east district.
Oyibo Chukwu was set ablaze after gunmen opened fire on his convoy on Wednesday.
Five of his supporters who were also with him died in the incident.
In a statement Buhari described the killing as a “heinous crime”, and asked security agencies to fish out the perpetrators, saying they deserve the wrath of natural and divine justice.
