INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, says it has started an investigation to verify claims that Permanent Voter’s Cards were recently found in a forest in Anambra State.

A viral video some days ago showed where numbers of PVCs were being displayed with the claim that a hunter found them while hunting inside the forest in Nnewi North, in Anambra State. On National TV INEC’s National Commissioner, Festus Okoye, questioned the legitimacy of the claim, calling on those with the claim to come and provide more information on where and how they found the PVCs.

Okoye said they that the commission was aware that there are some people and some forces that want to delegitimize this particular election. As the total number of registered voters in that particular local government hovers around 250,000 but I watched that video and they were talking about millions of PVCs that were found.
