General Elections: Electoral Hub Develops Research Policy Papers On Impact Of Insecurity

The Electoral Hub, under the leadership of Princess Hamman- Obels, has developed three research policy papers on Citizen’s Right and Impact of Insecurity on the 2023 General Election.

The three research policy papers include “to conduct deep analyses of the security situation in the country and its adverse impacts on the general election; map the security challenges in different parts of the country and how they are likely to affect INEC preparations and public safety during and after the election; provide electoral stakeholders with actionable recommendations for security and safety during the election .

Speaking at the event, the Director of Electoral Hub, Princess Hamman- Obels said that the three research policy papers on the impact of Insecurity on the general election will help to mitigate unusual situations during and after the election.

Also speaking, Senior Research Fellow, Center for Democracy and Development, Professor Adele Jinadu, said that the papers will provide Political, Economic and Social environment and the State of INEC in politics.

He noted that the Political, Economic and Social environment of the Country now have a serious implications for the conduct of elections
