A suspect linked to the killing of auxiliary bishop David O’Connell in Los Angeles has been arrested.
According to L.A. County Sheriff, Robert Luna, the suspect identified as Carlos Medina, is the husband of the bishop’s housekeeper, who has previously done work at O’Connell’s residence.
Two firearms were discovered during a search of Medina’s home, but forensic tests are yet to link the guns to O’Connell’s murder.
According to the Los Angeles Archdiocese, O’Connell was the episcopal Vicar of the San Gabriel Pastoral Region, and served as Pastor of St. Frances X. Cabrini, Ascension Catholic Church, St. Eugene and St. Michael Parishes.
