The cracks in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, seems to be widening ahead of next weekend’s elections.
The governors of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, his Kano state counterpart, Umar Ganduje , as well as that of Jigawa, Badaru Abubakar claimed that there was a plan to truncate the country’s democracy and force a military rule.
They insisted that the policy on naira redesign was aimed to stop the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu from winning the presidential election.
They have vowed to disobey the President’s orders with regards to the Naira redesign policy.
In a state broadcast, governor
El-Rufai asked residents to continue using the old Naira notes, urging them to stand up strongly for democracy, peace and national unity.
