Former Super Falcons captain and coach Eucharia Uche says the Revelation Cup friendly tournament which holds from February fifteen to twenty-one in Mexico will help prepare the women’s national team for the 2023 Women’s World Cup taking place in Australia and New Zealand next summer.
Uche, who is the first woman to win the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in 2011 as a coach, says the tournament is a good window for Waldrum to access the players and test new tactics.
Head coach Randy Waldrum invited 23 players for the tournament, including aging Falcons captain Onome Ebi, Spain-based forward Asisat Oshoala, and Chiamaka Nnadozie.
