The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Mr Olisa Ifeajika has affirmed that the Vice-Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of Delta, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa did not betray his Rivers state counterpart Mr Nyesom Wike in the party’s Presidential primaries.
Mr Ifeajika stated on Monday this while speaking with newsmen at Government House Asaba.
Mr. Olisa Ifeajika said that Governor Wike was the cause of his misfortune as his over bearing attitude made him lose the party primary adding that during consultation he never came to Delta to consult with party delegates to seek their support.
While describing the position of the G-5 Governors as a distraction he appealed to them to sheath their sword and beat a retreat as quickly as possible to join the party’s rescue mission.
On the endorsement of the Labour Candidate Presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, he said he exercised his constitutional right adding that Nigerians will vote for the best.
He advised Nigerians to avoid acts capable of truncating the Nation’s democratic process.
