Meanwhile, the resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in Osun State, Mutiu Agboke, has assured Nigerians that the 2023 general elections will be conducted despite attacks on its facilities.
He also disclosed that security has been beefed up at the Commission’s offices across the state to ensure both sensitive and nonsensitive materials are secured.
He spoke during a sensitization rally organized by the Commission in collaboration with a nongovernmental organization, Power of PVCs for residents of Osogbo ahead of the 2023 polls.
The REC said the deployment of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and the Results Viewing Portal (IReV) for voter’s accreditation and uploading of polling unit results in real-time have come to stay.
