A Federal High Court makurdi Division has dismissed a suit filed by Pine Emmanuel and 38 others against the All progressive congress APC and its governorship candidate, Fr Hyacinth Alia for lacking in merit.
Delivering judgement, Justice Abdul Dogo said the group has no Locus Standi to institute the suit, as only political parties and aspirants are empowered by law to bring actions or complaint relating to Pre-Election matter.
Emmanuel and others approached the Court to stop the primary, insisting that their rights were infringed upon.
Reacting to the judgement, Counsel to Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia and the APC mamman mike Osuman and Fidelis Mnyim said the judgment is sound.
Meanwhile the party’s Publicity secretary Dan Ihomon said the court has given a leeway for the party to initiate reconciliation.
