the super eagles have risen in the most recent financial rankings of national teams despite not being able to compete in the 2022 world cup currently taking place in qatar.
the increase in some of the players’ value put together helped the eagles move up to 15th place globally, while also ranking as the most valuable team on the continent.
the biggest being victor osimhen, who is now nigeria’s most expensive player ever after his excellent play caused a huge €10 million increase in his market value, from €65 million to €70 million.
wilfred ndidi is valued at €40m, ademola lookman moved from €10m to €20m. alex iwobi rose from €22m to €25m.
while samuel chukwueze remains at €20m, other players like terem moffi, joe aribo and calvin bassey all contributed to the growth in the team’s value with a combined value of €48m.
