Adamawa Budget Breakdown: Education, Roads, Others Receive Lion Share In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Government has given the breakdown of the 2023 budget proposal with Education and Roads Construction receiving the lion share of the capital expenditure estimate.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri had on Friday last week presented the budget proposal of over N175b to the state House of Assembly for consideration and approval.

The Commissioner of Finance and Budget, Ishaya Dabari while briefing newsmen in Yola, said the Education and Post Primary Schools Management Board will receive N20b.

He added that roads receive; N19.8b, Reform of Government and Governance; N16.6b, Enhancing Skills and Knowledge, N12.6b, health; N6.9b, and Housing and Urban Development; N3.6b, among others

Dabari disclosed that in the recurrent expenditure, personnel cost will receive 33.9b, overhead cost; 61.6b and public debt charges; 9.34b, giving the total of 105.11b.
