Qatar 2022: Sisi, Erdogan Arrive Doha To Attend World Cup Opening Ceremony

A number of world leaders have arrived the Qatari capital Doha to attend the opening ceremony of the World Cup.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi landed in Doha and was received by Egyptian and Qatari officials.

His Turkish counterpart, Tayyip Erdogan, also arrived to attend the ceremony.

The World Cup kicked off in Qatar on Sunday with the Muslim nation, which faced a barrage of criticism over its treatment of foreign workers, LGBT rights and social restrictions, staking its reputation on delivering a smooth tournament.
