Former governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole, has tasked Deltans to ask the state governor and vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, Ifeanyi Okowa, for the N250 billion that accrued to the state from the 13 per cent derivation to oil-rich states.

The 13 percent derivation fund comes from the revenue to oil-rich communities through the state governments as enshrined in section 162, sub-section 2 of the Nigerian constitution.

Speaking over the weekend at the state All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship and presidential campaign rally, at the Warri township stadium, the former national chairman of the party charged Deltans to ask Governor Okowa where their share of the money was.
