The governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has presented the 2023 appropriation bill to the State House of Assembly to the tune of three hundred and twenty point three five billion naira.
The budget proposal Christened, “Budget of Reliance and Transformation”, has a 69% increase from the 2022 appropriation bill.
The Capital expenditure will gulp 192 billion while the Recurrent expenditure will take 127 billion naira. Economic enablers and youth empowerment take the top priority with a 56.1 billion naira budget proposal, closely followed by Road and transportation with 54.9 billion
