Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has apologised to former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, for supporting the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State in September 2020.

Wike tendered the apology at the inauguration of the Rumuepirikom Flyover in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Wike said he has learnt his lessons and advised that the past should remain in the past.

He also reiterated that he would not support anyone that does not have the interest of Rivers people at heart.

Inaugurating the flyover project, Oshiomhole lauded Wike for initiating and completing many beautiful projects in Rivers State.

Oshiomhole denied using army, navy, airforce and other security agencies to disrupt the 2019 governorship campaign in Rivers State and elections while he was the National chairman of APC
