Qatar 2022: Children In Tunisia Compete In Their Own ‘World Cup’

As their national team heads into the 2022 World Cup, children in Tunisia have competed in their own ‘World Cup in their neighbourhood.

Boys between eight and 13 years old from popular neighborhoods in the country were divided into different teams, named after countries playing in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Replicating the international sports event, teams competed over two weeks up until the final match in Tunis on Sunday where “Team Qatar” played “Team Tunisia”.

Children playing under “Team Qatar” won the game and therefore the competition, celebrating with a trophy – a mock-up of the FIFA World Cup one.
