A social-cultural group of Ife descent, lfe Development Board, says it is set to unveil various initiatives for the implementation of Ile-ife Development agenda.
The group was speaking at press conference in ile-ife on the plan to hold annual Ife day celebration, the first since the ascension of the Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, seven years ago.
Addressing journalists, Chairman, Local Organizing Committee, 2022 Ife Day celebrations, Dr Yomi Olayinka said the celebration will also mark the 7th coronation anniversary of the 51st Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi whom he noted has been so generous in terms of infrastructure development and empowerment initiatives for the vulnerable.
The board lauded president Muhamadu Buhari for awarding the monarch the Commander of the Federal Republic, CFR which it described as encouragement to better national service.
Olayinka said the initiatives to be unveiled during the anniversary will include, “Ife Vision 2050”, “Proudly Ife”, ” roadmap for the implementation of Ife Development Agenda”, among others.
He called on tourists all over the world to explore the historical and spiritual legacies of Ile-Ife during the anniversary
