The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has said women will receive 35% of all appointments when the party takes over the mantle of leadership. PDP gubernatorial candidate, Mustapha Lamido stated this at the inauguration of the State’s Women Wing of the PDP Campaign held in Jigawa State.
He said women have greater roles to play in the development of any meaningful society.
According to him “the initiative is a testimony of how important we take the affairs of women and the role they will play in our administration if elected” “We shall reserve 35% of all appointments in our administration to women in addition to other special interventions for them.
