Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has filed an appeal at the Supreme Court against the recent Court of Appeal’s ruling halting his release from custody.
The Court of Appeal in Abuja stayed the execution of its earlier order acquitting him of all charges and directing his release from custody.
Kanu has been in the custody of the State Security Service (SSS) since his arrested in Kenya and brought back to Nigeria in June last year.
