Germany’s president Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in South Korea, has condemned the North for threatening international security with repeated missile launches and urged Pyongyang to return to dialogue.

The remarks followed a meeting with Yoon, in which both delegations observed a moment of silence for victims of a crowd crush that happened during Halloween festivities in Seoul on Saturday and killed over 150 people.

North Korea fired multiple missiles into the sea on Thursday, including a possible failed intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), prompting the United States and South Korea to extend air drills that have angered Pyongyang.
