Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN) has called off its protest against Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL) for sacking airport workers.

On Tuesday, flights were suspended while passengers were left stranded due to the shutting down of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos Terminal Two (MMA2) by aviation workers.

ATSSSAN while protesting against the sack of its 34 members without due process, described it as witch-hunting and willful intimidation.

However, in a statement on Wednesday, Deputy General Secretary of the union, Frances Akinjole, said the union had ended the strike following the intervention of concerned ministries, and agencies at a meeting in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.
