China: Govt Offers Condolences Over Deadly South Korea Crush

Chinese foreign ministry has revealed that the government has offered condolences to the victims killed in South Korea’s deadly Halloween crush and is currently assisting its citizens who were involved in the accident.

Ministry spokesperson, Zhao Lijian told a daily briefing in Beijing that Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang were among the foreign leaders expressing condolences to the South Korean government.

South Korean foreign ministry said 26 foreign nationals from 14 countries were among the 154 killed in the crush in popular nightspot Itaewon.
