A German delegation visiting Taiwan has told the island’s president during a meeting today, that the status quo in the Taiwan Strait can only be altered peacefully and in an agreement between both Taiwan and China.
The multi-partisan parliamentary delegation led by Peter Heidt of Germany’s Free Democratic Party (FDP) arrived for their 4-day visit and is scheduled to meet with senior officials in Taiwan to discuss human rights among other topics.
