The governor of Anambra State Chukwuma Soludo has said that the federal government must call for a national conversation on the current flood disaster in the country.
Soludo who said that eight Anambra LGAs have been submerged, and bridges, roads and houses washed off, called on the presidency and the national assembly to be proactive in seeking immediate and long-term solutions to the issue of flooding.
He said that beyond the immediate coping strategy and a long-term agenda being put together as a government in dealing with the environment, there is a national conversation that needs to happen.
