The 2022 security and safety cup organized by the Sports Writers Association of Nigerian Ogun State chapter witnessed a new dimension and concluded amidst jubilation.
The Nigeria Customs Service and Nigeria Police Team slugged it out in the final with customs slamming the machines 4-1 to emerge new champions of the competition.
The competition took place at the main bowl of MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto Abeokuta.
The customs took an early lead within three minutes of the encounter and later extended to end the first half with a two goals advantage.
The Police Machines reduced the margin within seven minutes of the remaining half, before the Customs came out forcefully into the encounter to score two more goals.
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC won the bronze medal with a five zero win Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps.
