The president of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, has said that Nigeria and other African countries needed debt relief and help in tackling debt burdens.
Adeshina who said this at the Nigerian International Economic Partnership Forum in New York added that financing was critical to solving Nigeria’s development challenges.
He said that African countries, including Nigeria, needed international partnership to tackle climate change, while highlighting the challenges around investing in Nigeria, saying that the National Integrated Infrastructure masterplan showed Nigeria would need total financing of $759 billion up until 2043.
