Disturbed by the current wave of Medical Tourism, which has led to Brain Drain in the medical sector of the Country, the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), has called on the Government to act fast in putting in place necessary measures to check the ugly trend.
The Professional body made the call at the end of its National Executive Council, NEC, meeting in Benin City the State Capital.
Emphasizing the need for the encouragement of healthcare workers, President Dr. Victor Makanjuola charged the Government to take serious the increment of salaries and other hazard allowances for healthcare workers in the country, like their counterparts across the world, in order to prevent the migration of healthcare workers to other countries.
He also charged members of the Association on Professionalism while discharging their duties.
