Chelsea defender Reece James has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2027.
The right-back, who graduated from the Chelsea youth academy, has been given an improved, long-term contract by the Blues as reward for his outstanding performances as a crucial member of Thomas Tuchel’s team.
James has established himself as one of the top full-backs in the Premier League and was drawing interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City.
The 22-year-old has already racked up 128 appearances for the Blues since his breakout season in 2019/20 and has won the Champions League, Club World Cup, and UEFA Super League with the club.
