A report from the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), covering August the 1st to 7th, 2022, has revealed that 60 new suspected cases of monkeypox have been recorded in the country, four of which were confirmed in Ogun state.
To this end, an Epidemiologist in the State, Dr. Yusuf Hakeem has cautioned residents against an unhealthy lifestyle.
Yusuf equally stressed the fact that the Lassa fever and COVID-19 pandemic have not phased out, and so cautioned Nigerians to obey hygiene rules.
