Poverty Eradication: F.G. To Train 15,000 Citizens On Vocational Programmes

Over 15,000 out of school children across the country are set to benefit from a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme facilitated by the Federal Government.

The programme was approved by the National Steering Committee on National Poverty Reduction With Growth Strategy.

Speaking, in an interface with the government officials and other stakeholders at Sir Kashim Ibrahim house in kaduna, the Senior special assistant to the President on Education Intervention Fela Bank-Olemoh, said six states were selected to pilot the programme targeted at 15,000 beneficiaries and 2,000 people in Kaduna will be equipped with technical and vocational skills through the Federal Government Project T-MAX.

He added that youths will be trained in more than 16 different skills program to scaled up to one million Nigerians using the facilities that exist within the ecosystem.
