After a long wait and anxiety, Senator Magnus Abe has been elected and Emerge as the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, to contest the 2023 governorship election in Rivers state following the voluntary withdrawal of Pronen Maurice former Candidate.
The primaries which was conducted in Port Harcourt, Rivers state and supervised by the independent national electoral commission, INEC senior officer, Pastor Emmanuel Isong and other representatives from security agencies was described as the fairest primaries ever held in the state.
