Six people were killed in an attack by bandits in Pinau village, Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Residents said the bandits stormed the community around 3pm, on Wednesday, and started shooting sporadically.
The spokesperson for Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), a multi-security taskforce maintaining peace in the state, major Ishaku Takwa, who confirmed the development, said that troops were sent to the area.
