A kano high court has sentenced Abdulmalik Tanko, and Hashimu Isyaku the prime suspects in the murder case of 5 year old Hanifa Abubakar to death by hanging.
The trial judge Justice Usman Na-Abba while delivering judgement earlier today, stated that Abdulmalik Tanko, the 1st defendant who is Hanifa’s proprietor, is to spend 5 years in Prison before facing death by hanging, also Hashimu Isyaku the 2nd defendant in the case is to spend 4 years imprison before facing his death penalty.
Recall, that Hanifa was the five-year-old schoolgirl abducted by her teacher who demanded ransom from her parents and later killed her in December last year.
Reacting to the sentence of the defendants, Barrister Musa Lawan the Kano commissioner for Justice said he was pleased that the case has been finalized, which clearly shows that the judiciary is upright one which the populace can have confided in.
