The Senate is sending a delegation to the United Kingdom on a solidarity visit to the embattled former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice.
The senate President Ahmad Lawan made the announcement at today’s plenary after a closed-door session.
The Senate President Ahmed Lawan made this announcement at plenary, He said the lawmakers who are drawn from the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs are expected to be in the UK on Friday.
Lawan also commended the British High Commission for the way the alleged organ harvesting suit is being handled.
Ekweremaadu and his wife were arrested by the London Metropolitan Police on Thursday for conspiring to bring a child to the UK for organ harvesting.
The duo pleaded not guilty to the charges in Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court, adjourning the case to the 7th of July.
