Rivers: Court Grants Lawmaker Bail After 62 Days In Detention

Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has granted bail to the Federal lawmaker representing Degema-Bonny Federal Constituency Farah Dagogo.

In his ruling, trial Judge, Justice Chinwendu Nworgu insisted that before Dagogo Farah could be released from custody he must meet the following conditions, one surety who must deposit documents of his building that should be verified by the court. The court also asked the surety to present two Passports alongside the defendant.

Justice Nworgu in his ruling also ordered that Farah Dagogo must not be allowed to travel outside the country without the leave of the court and should deposit his international passport with the court.

The Judge also directed that the surety must be an indigene of Rivers State who owns a landed property within Port Harcourt metropolis that must value nothing less than twenty million naira.

In the meantime, lawyer among Farah Defence team spoke on the matter shortly after the court proceedings.
