Nigeria’s house of representatives has begun moves to investigate the Non-payment of pension arrears of retired federal civil Servants by the pension transitional arrangement directorate, PTAD.
The house adopted the motion following its presentation on the floor at plenary by Hon Sergius Ogun, a lawmaker representing Esan North-east Esan southeast, as he drew the attention of his colleagues to the plight of retired federal civil servants in the country.
The house immediately summoned the Head of Service of the Federation, Folashade Esan, the acting Accountant General of the Federation, the D.G National Pension Commission, and the Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate, PTAD to provide an explanation for the non-payment of pensions and gratuities.
