President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded the names of seven ministerial nominees to the Nigerian Senate for screening and confirmation.
In the letter read on the floor of the Senate by its President, Ahmad Lawan at the start of plenary, the nominees include Henry Ikechukwu (Abia), Umana Umana (Akwa-Ibom), Ekuma Joseph (Ebonyi), and Umar Yakub (Kano), among others.
The nominees are to replace ministers in President Buhari’s cabinet who had resigned to contest for the presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress as well as other offices.
