In commemoration of the world sickle cell anemia and blood donation day, the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano is enlightening the general public on steps to take to prevent the prevalence of sickle cell in the state and also advocate for more donation of blood.
The hospital identifies active participation as a key factor in fostering intensified blood donation for people in need, as well as heightened awareness to lessen the burden of Sickle Cell disease in Kano state and the country at large.
