As part of the efforts of the Nigerian Navy in fighting maritime illegalities, it has flagged off a multinational maritime exercise, code-named Exercise Edi-Diana aimed at tackling maritime security threats within the Gulf of Guinea.
The Exercise is in collaboration with West and Central African countries, including Togo, Cameroon, Ghana, the European Union and the United States Coast Guards. It will tackle piracy, illegal and unregulated fishing as well as every other maritime security threat.
