Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski confirmed he will not be signing a new deal after eight trophy-laden years at the club.
Lewandowski, who has one year left on his current contract, is said to want a new challenge away from Germany, with Barcelona favourites for his signature.
The Pole helped the German giants win the Bundesliga in each of his eight seasons at the club, as well as another eight domestic trophies, and both the UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup in 2020.
He broke Gerd Müller’s record by scoring 41 goals in a single Bundesliga campaign, and the striker joined Dutch legend Johan Cruyff as the only two players to achieve the treble while being the highest goal scorer in all three competitions.
Lewandowski won the Best FIFA Men’s Player Award in both 2020 and 2021 and finished second only to Lionel Messi for the 2021 Ballon d’Or.
