The Adamawa State Commisioner of Health and Human Services, Professor Abdullahi Isa, says information revealed by the National Malaria Elimination programme showed annual malaria related deaths to be over 90,000
He stated this in Yola, to mark this year’s world Malaria day, as the state government called for adherence to control measures for the elimination of malaria.
Commisioner of Health who was represented by the permanent Secretary, in the ministry, Mrs Rhoda Yohanna, said despite the prevalence of malaria, declining both at the state and national level, malaria still remains a major public health burden in Nigeria.
