A 25-storey uncompleted building has collapsed Monday afternoon amid fears of unspecified numbers of victims that may be trapped under the rumble or dead.
The building located at high brow Gerrald road Ikoyi, Lagos, according to an eyewitness, crumbled under the heavy weight at about 2 pm.
Some emergency responders rushed to the scene of the incident where they battled frantically to rescue the trapped victims.
General Manager, LASEMA, Femi Osanyintolu who spoke to reporters did not give the number of casualties involved as rescue operation is still ongoing as of the time of filing this report.
