The political crises in Plateau State House of Assembly have taken another turn with the suspension of the newly installed Speaker, Hon Yakubu Sanda, and five others.
In a seating held on Thursday evening with 12 members of the Plateau State House of Assembly in attendance, the House also passed a vote of confidence on the embattled Speaker, Hon. Nuhu Abok Ayuba.
It’s the first public appearance of the embattled Speaker, Abok and 11 other members since his purported impeachment as Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly.
The seating was presided over by Abok and without wasting time, a motion was moved for the suspension of the newly installed Speaker, Sanda and five other members for gross misconduct.
The House also passed a vote of confidence on the embattled Speaker.
The members of the Assembly present as the seating while addressing the press gave reasons why the
impeachment of Abok won’t stand.
The seating had in attendance all nine PDP members and three members of the ruling APC.
