The Senate on Tuesday received President Muhammadu Buhari’s request for the confirmation of chairman, chief executive, executive directors, and members of the board of the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority in line with the Petroleum Industry Act 2021.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, read President Buhari’s letter on the floor of the chamber, comprising four nominees listed for approval.
The nominees include Idaere Gogo Ogan (Chairman) Engineer Sarki (Chief Executive,
Abiodun Adeniji (Executive Director of Finance and Accounts).
Oguguo Ukoha is expected to serve as Executive director of distributions system, storage, and retail Infrastructure.
This Board is expected to fastrack the process of the establishment of the Commission.
