Bandits abduct Former General Manager of Katsina Television, His 15-year-old Daughter

Suspected bandits have again launched a fresh attack on Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting a former General Manager of the State-owned Television, KTTV who is also a former Director at the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Ahmed Abdulkadi, along with his 15-year-old daughter.

They were taken away from their residence in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.

This is coming less than 24 hours after the abduction that occurred in the Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State’s Governor, Aminu Masari, where four children of the village head of Sabuwar Kasa were abducted.

The incident is also coming less than six hours after the state government banned all mobile phone commercial charging points across the 19 frontline local government areas of the state, as part of measures to tackle the resurgence of banditry in the state.

Although the police authorities in the state are yet to respond to the incident, a local source confirmed that the suspected bandits stormed Abdulkadir’s house located in Bakori town at about 9:00 pm Monday, September 6.

As of the time of this report, no communication has been established between the abductors and the family members.
