Zamfara State Government says it is working hard with the security agencies to ensure the quick and safe rescue of the remaining abducted students of Government Day Secondary School Kaya, in Maradun Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Dosara, said this in a statement issued on Thursday, on the efforts being made by the authorities to rescue the students who were abducted recently at Kaya community by suspected bandits.
He said the security agencies are using both land and aerial combing of the forest to identify where the abducted students are. Dosara said the Zamfara State government, under the leadership of Governor Bello Mohammed, is not resting on its oars since the students were abducted by the criminals to an unknown location.
The Information Commissioner emphasized that the new proactive security measures put in place by the state government are meant to ensure peaceful co-existence and harmony in the state and beyond.
He expressed optimism that the security agencies, in collaboration with the state government, will identify where the abducted students are and rescue them hale and hearty.
