Kwankwaso on retraining security personnel

Former governor of Kano State and a one-time Minister of Defence, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has called on the Federal Government to engage in training and retraining of security personnel. He said it will help to tackle the rising insecurity in the Northern parts of the country.

Kwankwaso while expressing confidence in the security personnel to defeat terrorists and bandits, warned against indiscriminate arms-bearing, as it will plunge the country into anarchy. The rising insecurity in Nigeria has become worrisome and has been generating heated arguments in several quarters on how to surmount it.

One time Minister of Defence said there is a need to provide the military with the necessary intelligence. On-call for self-defense against bandits and terrorists by some politicians, the former governor of Kano State, believes that will lead the country into anarchy.

Speaking on politics, Kwankwaso wants the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus, to be allowed to complete his tenure, and refuted claims on his planned defection from the party. Kwankwaso also berated the present administration in Kano, for allegedly selling strategic places indiscriminately.
