CAF approves 5, 000 fans for Nigeria vs Liberia

Coach Gernot Rohr now has the full complement of players invited for the FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022 Africa qualifier against Liberia as FC Porto defender, Zaidu Sanusi, joins the team’s camp.

The Super Eagles trained behind closed doors on Wednesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, the venue of the match with 28 players in attendance.

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, confirmed that the continental governing body, CAF, has approved 5000 fans for the encounter against Liberia.

Nigeria will open the quest for a seventh World Cup appearance against Liberia on Friday, September 3, 2021, before facing Cape Verde on Tuesday, September 7, in Praia.
