Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, had said that the state government will not allow anybody who has not taken the Covid-19 vaccine to worship in churches, mosques, or have access to banks, event centres, and other public places with effect from September 2, 2021.
The youths who were in their hundreds defiled Monday’s downpour to protest around the Benin metropolis against the Edo Governor’s new stance, which they called, “forceful” Covid-19 vaccination.
They gave the state government seven days’ ultimatum to rescind the decision.
