The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami, has justified reasons for the parade of suspects by the police force on a regular basis.

The Commissioner while briefing reporters on Thursday during the parade of 12 suspects at the Command’s Headquarters in Akure said the move is to constantly enlighten the public and put them on notice of the activities of criminals.

Salami also noted that suspects are only paraded after thorough investigations have been carried out on them by men of the force.

He said the move will not only help keep members of the public abreast of their daily activities but also help to make them more security conscious.

Among those paraded by the Command include a four-man gang arrested for allegedly specialising in robbing and killing POS Operators and filling station attendants in Akure metropolis and serial rapists that ambush and rape women in their farms within the Ore axis.

The Police Commissioner disclosed that the suspects would soon be charged to court.
